What “processed in your browser” means
Which RS Labs tools touch a server, what stays on the device, and what the page can still see.
Every tool on RS Labs is built to finish its work in the browser. A PDF is read by a library running in the page. An image is drawn on a canvas. A password is chosen with the Web Crypto API. The result is downloaded from the tab. There is no account and no upload step.
What still leaves the device
Opening the website itself does. Your browser requests the HTML, CSS and JavaScript, the way it does for any page. That request does not include the file you later drop on the tool. Theme choice is stored in local storage on your device so the next visit can match it.
What you should still avoid
- Do not paste passwords or customer data into a shared or recorded screen.
- Closing the tab discards the file from the page. It does not delete a copy you already downloaded.
- Browser extensions can read a page. A private tool cannot disable an extension you installed.
The privacy policy at labs.rs.lk/privacy states the same boundary in full. If a future tool needs a server, because a format cannot be handled locally, that page will say so before you use it.
